Did I ever mention:
That "Familiars," my first story about Cluny the Sorceress Squirrel, won an award when it was published ten years ago? The Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Short Story of the year, to be exact.
Well, Fred Patten has put together The Ursa Major Awards Anthology for FurPlanet, an outfit specializing in talking animal comics 'n' stories. It collects a bunch of the winners and nominees from the ten years they've been giving out the awards, and Cluny's right in there with the rest of 'em!
So if you'd like a survey of what's what and who's who as far as one measurement of talking animal fiction is concerned, the book's available for "pre-order" at the link in the previous paragraph.
